In this workshop, we’ll learn a spell to open roads and remove the obstacles that hinder the democratic process. As early voting begins across the country, we focus our collective magic on dismantling the systems that block marginalized communities from their voting rights. Calling upon the power of our ancestors—those who fought for suffrage and the rights of the most impacted—we engage in rituals that not only protect the right to vote but ensure it becomes a lived reality for all. With the cunning guidance of Coyote, we embrace cross-cultural traditions that highlight the deep connection between spiritual sovereignty and collective liberation.
Our tarot guide for this workshop is The Emperor, who teaches us how structures—both seen and unseen—support life and freedom. By listening to our bodies and connecting with ancestral wisdom, we tap into the forces that seek to ally with us in breaking barriers, particularly in the realm of voting. Through this practice, we claim ease with structure, and we honor the powerful intersection of magic, history, and activism.
